Simon Yates broke the 10-mile club-record for the second week on the run when he raced in Westmead 88’s 10-mile TT at Alderley Edge, Cheshire. The 18-year-old had previously beaten Philip Albiez’s time from 2003 by 4-seconds, last week he improved on that time by 2-seconds, posting a blistering 21minutes 14seconds. Club Report 9/5/11

Bury’s famous Yates twins hit the roads last week for the Lincoln Grand Prix Premier Calendar Road Race. The 140Km event, which attracts many of the top teams, saw Simon finish 26th out of 160-riders. Adam was placed 41st. The 18-year-olds also competed in Westmead 88’s 10-mile TT at Alderley Edge, alongside their dad, John.

At the recent Clarion Easter Meet in Scotland, Andy Horner, Nick Hall and Bob Duckworth rode the National Clarion Hill Climb TT at Stirling.
