Official times from Tuesday night s Bury Clarion Hill Climb Event where our stoical Bullets climbed the challenging Lumb Carr Road in a special prequel event before the adults. This is the second year the children have taken part and again it proved an excellent way for them to take part in a competitive event.

Its fantastic to see the children battling up the hill, with all abilities and ages taking part between 5 and 11. Given that many adults shy away from such a challenge- these children are admirable! Safety first and our great parents also ran or cycled with their offspring to make sure they got the support they needed. COVID 19 wont stop our Bullets from improving and we all hope we can get the regular sessions running as soon as the pandemic situation allows.

Well done to Toby Diggins on being the fastest pushed very hard by a flying Harry Patterson, with Bejamin Richardson taking 3rd place.

Well Done everyone!

Wonderful. Bury Clarion is at a peak. I wonder how many of the children know about Adam & Simon Yates rode the event for several years as teenagers. I wonder how many are thrilled to see Adam performing so well in TdeF.

Wonderful. I wonder if they know about Adam and Simon Yates riding the senior event over several years as teenagers I wonder how many are watching the Tour and being thrilled by Adam doing to well and know he is an honorary member of our club.
