Bury Clarion riders Nick Hall, Andy Horner and Phil Ball were back in Tarleton, Lancashire last week to race in the all-important Southport 10. The weekly-run TT, hosted by Southport Cycling Club saw the trio finish in 4th, 13th and 37th respectively with their times of 22mins 36sec, 23mins 26secs and 26mins 50secs, which for Ball, meant he beat last week’s time by 12-seconds.
Meanwhile club-mate Andy Horner continued his racing-week riding Rossendale CC’s 10-mile undulating course at Hapton, beating his previous time of two-weeks ago with 26mins 14secs earning him 2nd place.
Horner was in action again the same weekend, this time stretching his legs for a 25-mile TT, with the Bury-rider crossing the line just 34-seconds over the hour in the Preston Wheelers event near Garstang.
Father and Son team, Paul and Ryan Whatmough, raced in the Newcastle Track League. With both placed in the top-group, Ryan won the 8 lap scratch and the 12 lap scratch, whilst Paul won the Devil Takes The Hindmost.
