Nick Hall blasted his way through the wind and rain at last Saturday’s National Clarion 10-mile TT, to record the fastest time for the Bury club with 23mins 45secs, followed closely by Andy Horner with 24:04. Finishing the other side of the 25-minute mark on the Cheshire course, were Phil Ball, 26:23 and Steve Side, 26:27.
The previous week Andy Horner raced at Tarleton, for Southport CC’s weekly 10-mile time-trial. In atrocious weather conditions, Horner just missed the sub-25-minutes, posting 25:07, placing him 5th out of 11 riders.
Ryan Whatmough won the Litherland 2/3 cat circuit race last week the Merseyside event also saw Nick Hall finish in 8th and Martin Usher 9th.
Nick Hall also rode a LVRC road race in Saighton at the weekend, finishing the 50-mile event in the top ten for his age group, despite the wet, windy conditions.
